We’re excited to share the results from our 2024 soybean trials. This year’s data offers valuable insights into soybean variety performance, seed treatments, and management strategies, helping you make the best decisions for your next planting season.
Maturity and Moisture Data
Maturity dates and moisture content are crucial for aligning harvest schedules and storage management. The 2024 results highlight varieties that reached maturity early while maintaining low moisture content. For example, the NK08-R3XF XtendFlex matured by October 1st with a moisture content of 8.9%, making it a great choice for farmers aiming for early harvests with minimal drying costs.
Seed Treatments and Foliar Applications
In addition to variety performance, we also explored the effects of seed treatments and foliar applications on yield. The Tidal Grow seed treatment and the StepUp 2.0 + Tidal Grow combination both delivered impressive yields of 55.7 bu/A and 55.8 bu/A, respectively. Foliar applications, such as Viatude applied at the R1-R3 stages, produced a yield of 54.2 bu/A, showing the potential benefits of these management practices.
Iron Deficiency Chlorosis (IDC) Scores
For farmers dealing with iron-deficient soils, selecting varieties with strong IDC tolerance is crucial. This year’s trial provided insight into which varieties handle these conditions best, with LG Seeds 0139XF XtendFlex achieving a strong IDC score of 6.9. This data is especially valuable for growers in areas prone to iron deficiency.
Multi-Year Yield Trends
Consistency is key, and this year’s soybean data also included multi-year performance insights. By comparing results across multiple years, growers can see which varieties consistently deliver high yields under various growing conditions. Varieties like NK08-R3XF XtendFlex and Dyna-Gro S05XF73 XtendFlex have shown reliable performance, making them dependable choices for future seasons.
