Summer Internship - 2024
AgriMAX is a privately-owned agronomy retailer and seed conditioner located in Fisher, MN that is looking to incorporate a summer intern into their summer team.
Job Summary: Working with sales agronomists in crop scouting roles, assisting in spring-time seed treatments and deliveries, will assist plot technician in establishment and maintenance of all research plots, will work in conjunction with soybean seed inspectors, and will assist any other departments as needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:(other job duties can be assigned throughout summer)
- Assist in crop scouting & recommendations
- Assist in spring-time seed pickups and deliveries and treatments
- Assist in research plot planting and maintenance throughout the summer o Work with the seed inspectors during soybean field seed inspections
- Attend the research plot field day and assist in preparation
- Occasional spray plane loading
- Assist in special projects throughout the summer
- Work in seed warehouse (packaging seed, shipping seed, etc.)
- Assist other departments of company, as needed
Education and/or Experience:
In the process of obtaining an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university; or one to two years of experience and/or training in the agricultural field.
Other Skills & Abilities:
- Self-motivated
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds
- Ability to work as a team or by yourself
- Valid driver’s license
- Good verbal communication
- Ability to drive forklift preferred, but not required
Compensation:
Compensation will be dependent on experience. Abundance of opportunity for overtime.
Plot Agronomist Intern
Position: Plot Agronomist Intern
AgriMAX is a privately-owned agronomy retailer and seed conditioner located in Fisher and Fertile, MN that is looking to incorporate a seasonal Research Plot Agronomy Intern into their team.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Research Plot Agronomy Intern for the spring/summer of 2024. The intern would report to the Plot Manager to assist with planting, spraying, packetizing, combining, and other duties. The intern would require his or her pesticide applicator license. Your other duties include driving farm equipment, mixing chemicals, assisting with harvest, scout fields, and assist in any other departments as needed. Must be willing to work flexible hours. Also must be willing to understand field maps and technology on planting and harvesting equipment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Report to Plot Manager
- Lift at least 50 pounds
- Detailed Orientated
Education and/or Experience:
Preferred candidate has a farming background/knowledge of equipment and chemicals or is willing to
learn.
Compensation:
$16-$18/ hour starting wage based on experience. Abundance of opportunity for overtime during planting/spraying/harvest season.

Drone Pilot
Position: Drone Pilot
AgriMAX is a privately-owned agronomy retailer and seed conditioner located in Fisher and Fertile, MN that is looking to incorporate a full time Drone Pilot onto their team.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Drone Pilot to oversee the ground and flight operations of an agricultural spray drone during the summer months. As part of ground operations, you will perform safety checks and troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues. Your other duties involve quick decision making during each flight, which includes considering the weather, route, battery life or technical requirements of the drone and the job at hand. Other work could include: assisting in spring-time seed treatments, assisting plot technician in establishment and maintenance of all research plots, transporting chemical deliveries to farms, and assist any other departments as needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee ground and flight operations
- Pilot a DJI Agras T40
- Understand and adapt to weather
- Assist other departments as needed
Education and/or Experience:
Candidate will need the ability to obtain a FAA Remote Pilot Certificate AKA Part 107 license; Pilot will also need to obtain a MN and ND applicator license. Must be able to work overtime and weekends during peak spraying season.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Service current growers in the geography and prospect for new clientele – Make seed, fertilizer, and chemical recommendations
- Agronomic duties: scout fields, farm sales calls, etc.
- Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology
Job Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will have a farm background and will be familiar with local crops grown – Self-motivated, ability to work independently
- Familiarity with products known in the industry
- Degree in agronomy/related field is required

Staff Accountant

As a small business Staff Accountant, you will be involved in all accounting aspects of the business and work with a team that operates in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the company’s growth, while further developing your accounting skills.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 to 5 or more of accounting experience.
Role Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to support the CFO on all financial affairs including reviewing interim financial statements and reconciling and preparing supporting schedules. This position is also responsible for general and inventory accounting, maintaining the organizations overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual, analytical and has strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, professional verbal, and written communication. Looking for time management skills, accountability, prompt follow through and ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
